Anyhoo Amy Beth sent me an e-mail the other day and boy was I delighted. This is a self-portrait and she did such a wonderful job. It is not finished yet, but somehow it just looks right.

List of Unusual Deaths
Halloween brings out the weirdness in a lot of us including me, so here are some things that I found very interesting.
458 BC: The Greek playwright Aeschylus was killed when an eagle dropped a live tortoise on him, mistaking his bald head for a stone.
1327: Edward II of England, after being deposed and imprisoned by his Queen consort Isabella and her lover Roger Mortimer, was rumored to have been murdered by having a red-hot iron inserted into his anus.
1478: George Plantagenet, Duke of Clarence reportedly was executed by drowning in a barrel of Malmsey wine at his own request.
1899: French president Félix Faure died of a stroke while receiving oral sex in his office.
1671: François Vatel, chef to Louis XIV, committed suicide because his seafood order was late and he couldn’t stand the shame of a postponed meal. His body was discovered by an aide, sent to tell him of the arrival of the fish. The authenticity of this story is questionable.
1911: Jack Daniel, founder of the Tennessee whiskey distillery, died of blood poisoning six years after receiving a toe injury when he kicked his safe in anger at being unable to remember its combination.
1993: Garry Hoy, a Toronto lawyer, fell to his death after he threw himself through the glass wall on the 24th floor of the Toronto-Dominion Centre in order to prove the glass was “unbreakable.”
2007: An Australian woman was killed after her pet camel attempted to engage in sexual intercourse with her.
Very strange deaths indeed! What unusual deaths have you heard of?

Dominant German wife is jailed
A GERMAN woman who branded the words “never lie again” on her husband’s back has been jailed for three years.
Heike Hoffmann, 28, also ordered husband Andreas, 41, to take a ten-minute ice-cold shower if he looked at another woman.
And who is going to enforce this cold shower if his wife is in jail? hmmm!

Hey girl, long time , no hear! Glad ya stopped by. I’m startin to do a bit better but between bein sick, goin to Specialists, goin thru tests & havin to go into the hospital, I ain’t been around much. I was in the hospital for 1/2 a day. They did a Colonoscopy & an Internal Exploratory (cameras from both ends, lolol). The Dr. even gave me a copy of some pics he took of my internal organs. They look kool! 1 shot of the “Esophagus”, 1 shot of the “Stomach” & 2 shots of the “Colon”. The good news from the Colonoscopy was that all the organs were healthy & in great shape, no cancer, tumors or sists. The lab results from Toxology showed that my body is producin an extremely excess amount of acids in which maybe whats causin the whole problem, but won’t be sure till the 26th, when I get back the results back from the upper G.I. on the small intestines. If they come back ok, then we’ll deal with the acids. The acids irritate & swell the organs, includin the intestines resulting in severe blockage in which food can’t pass thru. This is extremely dangerous & deadly. The food stays in the blocked area & eventually starts goin bad & becomes very toxic which which then becomes very poisonous. So, needless to say, I’m just havin a blast!lololol We’re tryin to avoid any kind of surgery especially since I’ve had my fair share of them to last for the next millenium. lolol I just started on meds for the acids & it seems to help some but still have to see what happens come the 26th. If the problems continue, there’s no alternative but to have surgery. The biggest problem with the cameras is that they don’t reach all the way to the mid-section, from either end. We shall see! Hi Terri, my life as a respected 74 year old man is over. The world now knows I am getting a pedicure on Monday—my first. lol My friends tell me that it will help my callus filled, and ingrown toenails feel better, and it is cheaper than a podiatrist. I actually do feel kind of dumb as a guy. The gal told me that she also does manicures on men. No comment.

RYC: I am one who is not a believer that a calorie is a calorie, at least not anymore. You see, when I lost weight before I’d have to keep it at under 1200 calories (usually way under) to lose weight, and I was doing aerobics and weight lifting. I lost about 2 pounds a week. Now I’m eating 2000 calories a day or more and I’m losing 1-2 pounds a week, and I haven’t done much exercise at all (though I do plan on weight lifting here soon). This is the most painless, most satisfying eating plan I’ve ever done.
